The “KANAD S.H.I.E.L.D. Ahmedabad: Startup-Police Cybersecurity Innovation Program,” an initiative by i-Hub Gujarat in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Department to bring startups and law enforcement together for co-developing real-world cybersecurity solutions.
The initiative also includes an Investment & Fundraising track designed to support startups seeking capital by providing structured investor engagement opportunities, pilot deployment pathways, and access to government procurement channels.
The focus areas of the program include AI-driven threat intelligence systems, dark web monitoring capabilities, digital forensics and evidence management solutions, financial crime and fraud analytics tools, identity theft prevention and data protection technologies, cyber fraud detection and prevention systems, citizen-facing cyber awareness and safety tools, and law enforcement technologies such as surveillance systems, analytics platforms, and OSINT-based solutions.
The program has been designed to build a curated database of cybersecurity startups and facilitate collaboration between innovators, law enforcement agencies, academia, and ecosystem partners. Participating startups will gain opportunities to work on real-world cybersecurity problem statements, engage in pilot deployments with government stakeholders, and connect with investors during dedicated funding sessions across the program timeline.
Overall, the initiative aims to strengthen India’s cybersecurity ecosystem by bridging the gap between technology developers and enforcement agencies, while accelerating innovation, investment readiness, and deployment of advanced digital safety solutions at scale.
