The Sabi Sand Eco-Inclusive Development Programme 2025 invites local business owners and entrepreneurs around the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve to participate in tailored workshops, mentorship, and market access opportunities to support the scale-up of their enterprises.
This programme provides an opportunity for business owners and entrepreneurs to join the Sabi Sand Eco-Inclusive Development Programme. Successful candidates will be invited to attend a business exposure workshop where the programme outline will be introduced, and they will also have the opportunity to apply for the Indalovator Programme starting in September 2025. The programme is designed to support local enterprises around the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve by offering tailored training workshops, mentorship, and market access opportunities to help scale their businesses and drive development. Eligible sectors include fresh produce, meats, eggs, and dry food products; arts and crafts; textiles and uniforms; transport and logistics; waste management and recycling; water purification innovations; sustainable cosmetics, cleaning, and hygiene products manufacturing; bush-clearing and construction; and gardening services.
The programme targets community-based enterprises located within Bushbuckridge, specifically in Huntingdon, Lillydale A and B (Mabarhule), Justicia, Ireagh B, Newington C, Dumphries B and C, Lephong, Athol, Utha, and Dixie, all within 50km of the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.
Eligible businesses are emerging enterprises that have been operational for at least one year, are majority black-owned, and are committed to green and social inclusivity principles. The programme seeks participants from a variety of sectors including food products, arts and crafts, textiles, transport and logistics, waste management and recycling, water purification innovations, sustainable cosmetics and hygiene manufacturing, bush clearing and constructions, and gardening services.
Applicants must ensure that all submission documents are prepared before starting the application, as it cannot be resumed once submitted. Required documents include a business plan, certified ID copy of the business owners, business registration document, organogram of business structure, police clearance certificate, business financial statements, and product or services catalogue where applicable.
Through this initiative, local enterprises will gain access to business exposure workshops, mentorship, and market opportunities designed to support their growth, development, and inclusive practices within the Sabi Sand region.
