Renaissance is hosting Spring DEI UnDemo Day, a virtual event designed to attract venture capital investment to Midwest startups led by underrepresented founders or CEOs.
About Spring 2024 DEI UnDemo Day | 11:30am – 4pm ET on April 17, 2024
The format of this virtual event will include:
- Hundreds of curated virtual 1:1 meetings between applying startups and venture capitalists, matched based on the requests of participating VCs.
- Two large virtual group pitch rooms, where the 20 startups rated highest by VCs will have five minutes to pitch to hundreds of participating investors.
- Startup education sessions on topics like Building a Board, Financial Wellness for Founders, Marketing & PR, Talent & Recruitment, Accounting & Tax, and Legal.
Startup Participation Requirements
- Geography: based in the Midwest/Central U.S.
- Underrepresented Leader: Founders or CEOs who are Arab American, Black, Hispanic/Latine, LGBTQ+, Native American, veterans, and/or women.
- Venture-ready: company incorporates cutting-edge technology; potential for ultra-fast growth and revenue generation; likely to be an attractive acquisition or IPO within 5-8 years; prepared to give up equity.
