The All Good Ventures programme is seeking applications to support social entrepreneurs who are developing people-liberating business ideas that aim to generate income while improving the lives of marginalized communities.
The programme focuses on supporting people-liberating social enterprises, empowering entrepreneurs with innovative ideas, providing Money, Mentoring and Muscle, strengthening early-stage enterprises, enabling financial sustainability, improving the lives of marginalized people facing extreme hardship, and fostering purpose-driven businesses that use profits to bring freedom to people in need.
Each year, the programme selects a cohort of up to five social entrepreneurs from around the world to participate in a one-year development journey designed to help them advance their social enterprise ideas. The initiative specifically supports early-stage businesses that aim to generate income while addressing challenges faced by marginalized communities.
Entrepreneurs participating in the programme are individuals who possess strong ideas and motivation but require financial resources and business support to move their ventures to the next stage. The programme provides structured assistance that helps them refine their business models and strengthen the foundations of their enterprises.
Participants receive an initial seed funding injection intended to help launch or advance their business idea. This funding typically ranges from $5,000 to $20,000 NZD and is designed to support the early development of the enterprise.
The programme also provides a year of business mentoring, beginning with guidance to develop a detailed business plan and budget. Entrepreneurs work closely with a dedicated business mentor throughout the year, helping them build the skills and strategic planning needed to develop their ventures.
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet six criteria. Their business must be defined as a social enterprise and should be in the pre-seed, seed or early stages of development. The business must also demonstrate potential for financial sustainability and intend to use profits to bring freedom to people in need.
