The INNOGLOBO programme is now accepting applications to support Polish entities in establishing international research and development cooperation with foreign partners across a wide range of thematic areas.
The objectives and priorities of the programme include fostering international research and development collaboration, supporting projects with at least one foreign partner, enabling cooperation with partners from countries maintaining diplomatic relations with Poland, and ensuring that project themes align with the current List of National Smart Specializations.
The programme enables applicants to seek funding for international projects with diverse budgets and thematic scopes, including niche areas. Each project must involve at least one foreign partner, and its thematic focus must correspond to the List of National Smart Specializations currently in force, covering areas such as modern agriculture, forestry and food, sustainable bioproducts, bioprocesses and environment, sustainable energy, smart zero emission building, environmentally friendly transport, circular economy, advanced materials and nanotechnology, electronics and photonics, information, communication and geoinformation technologies, automation and robotics, creative industries, and marine technologies.
The total competition budget amounts to PLN 20,000,000. Based on the European Central Bank exchange rate on the opening day of the competition, 1 December 2025, this corresponds to an exchange rate of 1 EUR = 4.2283 PLN. The National Centre for Research and Development has allocated PLN 20 million to co-finance the participation of Polish entities in the fifth edition of the INNOGLOBO competition.
The minimum amount of co-financing available for tasks carried out by a Polish applicant is PLN 300,000, while the maximum amount is PLN 2,000,000. The maximum intensity of public aid depends on the type of activity and the size of the enterprise. For industrial research, funding may cover up to 80 percent of eligible costs for micro or small enterprises, 75 percent for medium-sized enterprises, and 65 percent for large enterprises. For development work, funding may cover up to 60 percent of eligible costs for micro or small enterprises, 50 percent for medium-sized enterprises, and 40 percent for large enterprises.
Eligible applicants on the Polish side include organisations conducting research and disseminating knowledge, micro, small, medium, and large enterprises, as well as groups of entities composed of organisations and entrepreneurs in any configuration.
