The Reserve Bank is organising its fourth global hackathon, ‘HaRBInger 2025 – Innovation for Transformation’, inviting participants to develop technology-driven solutions and innovative approaches for the banking sector.
The focus areas of the hackathon are built around the theme “Secure Banking: Powered by Identity, Integrity and Inclusivity”, with three key problem statements—Tokenised KYC, Offline CBDC (e₹), and Enhancing Trust.
Being part of HaRBInger 2025 offers participants the opportunity to be mentored by industry experts, present their innovative solutions before an eminent jury, and compete for exciting prizes under each problem statement.
The winner across each problem statement will receive ₹40 lakh, while the runner-up will be awarded ₹20 lakh. A special prize of ₹20 lakh will be given to the best all-woman team, comprising only women members, across all three problem statements. Additionally, each team shortlisted for the solution development phase will receive a stipend of ₹5 lakh to support prototype development.
HaRBInger 2025 continues the Reserve Bank’s efforts to promote innovation, collaboration, and transformative solutions within the financial ecosystem, reinforcing its vision of secure, inclusive, and technology-driven banking.
