Deadline Date: March 15, 2026
The AIM-HI Venture Competition programs are designed to empower scientist-entrepreneurs in the oncology field by supporting the development of innovative cancer treatments and accelerating life-saving solutions.
The program focuses on oncology innovation, development of groundbreaking cancer treatments, technologies addressing cancers prevalent in underserved populations, seed-stage and early-stage financing, scientist-entrepreneur empowerment, mentoring, networking, visibility, and access to a global oncology innovation network. Through its annual venture competition programs, AIM-HI provides critically needed seed funding along with structured coaching and ongoing access to its global network of oncology experts, investors, and industry leaders. These resources are aimed at advancing highly promising oncology technologies toward clinical and commercial development.
Early-stage oncology companies from around the world seeking pre-seed, seed, or Series A investments are eligible to apply. Applicant companies must have technology capable of addressing cancers that disproportionately affect underserved populations. To receive investment funding, winning companies must have technology ownership in place, making them eligible for investment from AIM-HI and its co-investors. Participants benefit from direct interaction with selection and judging committee members who are recognized key opinion leaders in the oncology field. This engagement provides valuable feedback that can help refine scientific, clinical, and strategic approaches.
Top winners receive honorariums, certificates of recognition, and consideration for further investment, subject to a rigorous due diligence process conducted by the AIM-HI Investment Committee. Winners also gain presentation and visibility opportunities within the oncology research community, supporting collaboration and networking with global experts and investors.
Companies that successfully pass the due diligence process become eligible for investment from AIM-HI and co-investors. This process also supports companies in strengthening their intellectual property, clinical development plans, and overall positioning for future investment opportunities.
In addition to financing, AIM-HI offers mentoring by pairing highly coachable scientist-entrepreneurs with experienced industry leaders, supports visibility by facilitating strategic team-building connections, and provides networking through its global ecosystem of innovators and investors within the oncology life sciences sector.
