Deadline: October 15, 2025
The National Bank of Greece S.A. has announced the 16th edition of its Innovation & Technology Competition to support new, original, and innovative business ideas and proposals based on new technologies, research outcomes, and startup initiatives.
The focus areas of the competition include Fintech, Digital Business and Ecosystems (including PropTech), Advanced Technologies & Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Environment/Climate Change, Society & Governance (ESG), including Financial Empowerment.
The competition is structured in three phases. In Phase A, participants submit their proposals online, and the best twenty advance to Phase B. There, finalists present a detailed analysis of their ideas, with ten moving forward to Phase C. The final stage involves live presentations before a Final Evaluation Committee, culminating in an award ceremony where the winners are announced.
The top three winners of the competition will receive cash prizes of €20,000, €12,000, and €8,000 respectively. Additionally, seven distinctions will be awarded to other finalists in Phase C. Special prizes include a €4,000 award for the best PropTech proposal, delivered in collaboration with Uniko, and one to five special awards totaling up to €10,000 for projects advancing the financial empowerment of households through the ENNOIA Initiative.
Submissions must be made electronically via the competition website. Eligible applicants include individuals and teams of up to five members, who are either permanent residents of Greece, Cypriot nationals, other EU citizens, or Greek citizens living abroad, all aged 18 or over.
Evaluation will be conducted in collaboration with leading Greek universities, research institutes, and industry experts, ensuring that the most promising and impactful ideas receive recognition and support.
