What is lion’s den?
- Lion’s Den is a pitch event for food and beverage start-ups in Ireland, organised and hosted by Bradley: The Brand Agency in partnership with the four Local Enterprise Offices, Dublin region. Lion’s Den 2023 will take place at the Dublin Food Chain 2023 Producer Showcase.
2023 Prizes
- The Start-up Award is for Food and Beverages start-ups, trading less than two years, and the Excellence Award is for Food and Beverages businesses trading from two to five years.
- The two winners of Lion’s Den will each receive a Digital Marketing Package from Bradley: The Brand Agency, to the value of €5,000 each for a digital campaign to promote their food or beverage business.
- Prize includes digital strategy, planning, creative, advertising spend and evaluation along with digital insights and mentoring from the Bradley Team throughout the process.
Details
- Shortlisted candidates will need to present a four-minute pitch on their food or beverage business on stage at the Lion’s Den event on Thursday 26 October 2023 at the Dublin Food Chain Producer Showcase for an audience of trade and retail buyers, and producers. The winner will be decided by a panel of industry professionals and leading decision makers in the industry.
Cub Hub
- On Friday 13 October 2023, they will host the Cub Hub networking event.
- Here, the shortlisted candidates are invited to the Bradley studio for the opportunity to meet some of the Bradley team, and the other candidates. This will be an opportunity to share some samples, network with others in your sphere, and share some insight into your company and passion. They will bring you through what to expect on the day, and take you through some pitch tips for the big event.
- Although not a mandatory event for entry into the competition, they highly encourage shortlisted candidates to attend.
Criteria
To qualify for entry:
- Your business must be founded in Dublin
- Your business must have a viable food or beverage product
- An ambition for export or already exporting is preferable
- You must supply sales volumes and stockists
- Your business must be owner led
- Must be operating either up to two years, or between two and five years
- Must be available to present on stage in person on Thursday 26 October 2023 at the Dublin Food Chain Producer Showcase, at the Crowne Plaza in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
