The StartupTN is now seeking applications for Tamil Nadu Tourism Innovation Hackathon designed to bring creators, technologists, and startup founders together to build next-generation tourism solutions while acting as a gateway to Gramam Thorum Puthozhil/TANSEED seed funding.
The focus of the opportunity includes Boost tourism-focused startups with innovative products and services, Solve real sector challenges using technology and new business models, Attract student and professional talent into the tourism and culture ecosystem, Pipeline for Gramam Thorum Puthozhil/TANSEED – Top teams may secure seed grants up to ₹10 lakh, Strengthen partnerships between government, industry, and innovators, Culinary Tourism, Agri & Rural Tourism, Heritage & Culture Tourism, Eco & Adventure Tourism, Wellness & Medical Tourism, and Digital Tourism Innovations. Creating a strong foundation for innovative tourism-led ventures. The hackathon is positioned to transform this scale and diversity of tourism into actionable solutions that address sector needs through technology and new business models.
The program encourages the development of tourism-focused products and services that enhance visitor experiences, support cultural value, strengthen local livelihoods, and promote sustainability across the state. By engaging students, professionals, and startup founders, the hackathon aims to build a strong pipeline of talent for the tourism and culture ecosystem.
Selected teams will be evaluated based on innovation and relevance, tourism impact, feasibility and prototype quality, business model and scalability, and team capability and commitment. High-potential teams emerging from the hackathon may gain access to Gramam Thorum Puthozhil/TANSEED seed grants of up to ₹10 lakh to support market entry and growth.
