Deadline Date: April 10, 2026
The Inclusive EdTech Innovation Cohort 4 is designed to support early-stage innovators developing practical and inclusive education solutions that improve learning outcomes and expand access for underserved learners in Nigeria.
The programme focuses on building solutions for learners living with disabilities, supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and underserved or rural communities, creating opportunities for young girls and women, and strengthening national and subnational education data systems.
This initiative, delivered by CcHUB in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aims to address persistent challenges across Nigeria’s education landscape, including limited infrastructure, disrupted schooling, gender inequities, disability exclusion, and fragmented data systems. It recognizes that many existing EdTech solutions are not designed for these complex environments and seeks to support innovations that are context-relevant and inclusive.
The programme follows an 18-month structure beginning with a 12-month incubation phase where selected startups receive deep technical and implementation support. During this phase, participants focus on applying evidence-based learning science, adopting human-centered design approaches, conducting user research across key inclusion areas, and strengthening product development through real-world testing and readiness for adoption.
Following incubation, startups move into a six-month post-incubation phase that emphasizes growth and sustainability. This includes refining go-to-market strategies, preparing for investment through mentorship and workshops, building distribution channels and partnerships, and enhancing branding and marketing efforts to strengthen user trust and visibility.
To be eligible, startups must be legally incorporated in Nigeria with a physical presence in the country and must be majority Nigerian-owned. The programme specifically targets founders who are building the future of accessible learning and addressing the needs of underserved populations.
