The ZICTA ICT Innovation Programme 2026 has been launched to support young innovators and entrepreneurs in developing and scaling ICT-driven solutions.
The programme focuses on providing business and technical development support to ICT innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs, while supporting local youth with innovative, viable, and scalable ICT-driven ideas that address pressing challenges across various sectors of the economy and transforming technology-related projects into impactful, value-driven products and services that contribute to national development.
The ZICTA ICT Innovation Programme is a flagship initiative designed to nurture and strengthen ICT innovation among young people. It aims to empower participants by equipping them with the tools and support needed to grow their ideas into successful ventures that can create meaningful impact.
Participants in the programme will gain access to training through business development and technical skills workshops, along with mentorship that includes coaching from industry experts. The programme also offers funding opportunities by providing access to commercialisation support, as well as growth through soft skills and personal development.
To be eligible, applicants must be Zambian youth aged between 18 and 35 years with an innovative ICT-driven idea or venture. The proposed solution should address socio-economic challenges and demonstrate viable and scalable business potential.
