HP Udgam is an initiative by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) designed to support innovators and entrepreneurs in transforming promising ideas into validated and commercially viable solutions.
The focus areas include Energy Transition, Digitalisation, Sustainability, Innovation in Oil & Gas, FinTech, HealthTech, DeepTech, and related domains, with specific themes such as Renewables, Biofuel, E-mobility, Energy Storage, LNG, CGD, CBG, Sustainability, Digital Solutions, and Innovations in Oil & Gas.
HP Udgam encourages startups to explore cutting-edge solutions across energy, digital, and sustainability domains, bridging the gap between innovative ideas and market-ready solutions. By fostering a collaborative environment, HPCL aims to accelerate the growth of startups that can contribute significantly to technological advancement and sustainable practices in India’s energy and industrial sectors.
Through HP Udgam, early-stage startups that have established a proof of concept (POC) can receive equity funding of up to Rs. 2.5 crore. The program involves a rigorous evaluation process, including presentations to two high-level committees, ensuring that only the most promising and feasible projects receive support. This structured approach allows innovators to focus on refining their solutions while HPCL provides guidance, mentorship, and financial resources to facilitate commercialization and implementation.
