Founders Factory Africa Academy Explore Program – Kenya

The Academy is for young aspiring entrepreneurs who are keen to explore how they can turn a problem into a business opportunity. You might be a recent graduate, an early career professional or a first-time entrepreneur eager to solve real-world problems.

Funding Information

• Each phase of the program has requirements that need to be met, hence to move to the next phase, you will need to put in the work and successfully meet the phase criteria which will be assessed by the coaches. To access the $5,000 grant, you will need to present your business concept at the end of the program to a panel of experts who will decide the businesses to award the grants to.

• Explore is run by FFA Academy, which provides you with all the resources and support you need to launch a business. You will have access to:

Who are they looking for?

• You are eligible to apply if you:
  • Are a self-starter
  • Are open to collaborating with others
  • Are open to feedback and support
  • Want to launch a business by the end of the 6-week program
  • Can commit full time for the duration of the program
  • Are fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Criteria

• The program is designed for teams of 2 – 3 co-founders. They encourage each member of the team to apply individually but to clearly state, on the application form, who their co-founders are. If you don’t have a co-founder, you are still encouraged to apply. During the program, you will have the opportunity to meet and choose a potential co-founder based on your aligned interests.
