Deadline: November 15, 2025
The FoodTech 500, created by Forward Fooding and inspired by the Fortune 500, is now accepting applications for its 2025 edition, offering international AgriFoodTech startups and scaleups a unique platform to gain recognition and global exposure.
The focus of this global initiative is on food, technology, and sustainability, showcasing entrepreneurial talent across the entire food supply chain and providing visibility to the most innovative companies in the sector. The FoodTech 500 highlights international AgriFoodTech startup and scaleup companies that are acting as a force of good for creating a brighter future of food. It is a ranking of the top 500 AgriFoodTech companies in the world, using a proprietary methodology to measure business size, digital footprint, and sustainability practices.
Now in its seventh edition, the FoodTech 500 has grown into a definitive list of the most exciting innovators in the food technology space. With more than 10,500 applications received since its inception, over 90 countries represented among the winners, and nearly $25 billion in investment raised by listed companies, the initiative has become a benchmark of credibility in the sector.
Selected companies gain recognition and visibility through the official FoodTech 500 list and White Paper, as well as access to curated events, industry networking opportunities, and potential collaborations with sponsors and investors. Companies from across the AgriFoodTech ecosystem—covering areas such as alternative proteins, vertical farming, packaging and materials, surplus and waste management, restaurant tech, food delivery, food processing, food safety and traceability, kitchen robotics, irrigation, precision farming, and Ag biotech—are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility requires that applicants are incorporated, have an active website, and are less than 15 years old. Applications are free of charge and will remain open until November 15, 2025, though early applications are encouraged as they receive greater visibility within the FoodTech 500 community.
