The Flagship Events program, launched by UKF, aims to strengthen Ukraine’s cultural identity and affirm national values by supporting large-scale and landmark events that consolidate society, promote social cohesion, and enhance citizens’ mental resilience during and after the war.
The program also fosters cultural heritage preservation, psychological support, professional development in the creative sector, and the promotion of Ukraine’s positive international image through innovative, high-quality events. The program consists of two LOTs: LOT 1 – Large-scale Cultural Projects and LOT 2 – Significant Dates and Personalities. Applicants can be legal entities of all forms or individual entrepreneurs registered in Ukraine for at least two years, excluding temporarily occupied territories, and must have relevant cultural experience. Funding for LOT 1 ranges from UAH 3 million to UAH 10 million, with mandatory co-financing of at least 30% of the project budget. LOT 2 provides grants from UAH 1 million to UAH 3 million, requiring at least 20% co-financing.
Eligible projects under LOT 1 include large-scale cultural and artistic initiatives, national festivals, exhibitions, fairs, competitions, cultural marathons, artistic reconstructions, and mass performances. LOT 2 projects focus on anniversary events, festivals celebrating specific professions or crafts, concerts and theatrical performances honoring prominent Ukrainians, and initiatives reflecting modern cultural phenomena to shape a new cultural canon.
