Deadline Date: June 20, 2026
The Edge program provides support to startups in validating, industrializing and scaling their technologies within real industrial environments while creating long-term value through collaboration with De Nora.
The call focuses on Manufacturing and Operations optimization, Health and Safety, Automation and digitalization in manufacturing and quality control, and Resource use optimization. The program seeks innovative solutions that improve industrial efficiency, quality and performance, enhance operator safety and workplace well-being, enable smarter and data-driven manufacturing systems through automation and digital technologies and support sustainable resource management, energy efficiency and circular manufacturing practices.
The program supports technologies that go beyond De Nora’s core business and open new industrial opportunities through sustainability, process optimization and innovative business models. Eligible applicants must be incorporated startups, ideally at Seed to Series A stage, with a prototype, MVP or maturing technology ready to be tested within an industrial environment.
During the incubation phase, startups work closely with De Nora experts to validate their technology through a Proof of Concept. This stage focuses on assessing technical feasibility, industrial applicability and market potential while also strengthening the startup’s business foundations. Participants receive support to refine their value proposition, business model and growth strategy. PoC outcomes and pilot proposals are later evaluated to determine entry into the acceleration phase.
The program offers financial support of up to €50,000 through a SAFE-based structure. Startups receive €20,000 at the end of the incubation phase and an additional €30,000 upon admission to the acceleration phase. Participants also receive mentorship from dedicated De Nora experts, technical and partner support, training sessions on industrial product development and entrepreneurship, and access to facilities and the wider Edge ecosystem.
The program enables startups to work directly with De Nora’s technical teams to validate and scale technologies inside industrial settings. Participants can access De Nora’s international footprint, including plants, operating companies and markets, to test and expand their solutions globally. Startups also benefit from tailored financial and in-kind support designed to align with their stage of growth while encouraging long-term collaboration. In addition, they gain access to a broad industrial ecosystem of customers, suppliers, partners and corporate innovation initiatives.
