Deadline Date: January 16, 2026
The Department of Tourism, through the Domestic Market Access Support Programme (DMASP), is calling dynamic, innovative, and diverse small tourism enterprises to join the Department’s MASP supported enterprises Pavillion at the WTM Africa 2026!
Selected and qualifying businesses will receive financial assistance to cover key participation costs, ensuring they can showcase their products and services effectively.
Under the DMASP, the Department covers accommodation costs, including breakfast, for the duration of the exhibition and the day before. Return economy flights, including connecting flights where necessary, are also fully funded, along with participation or exhibition fees. Additionally, the program reimburses return road transport costs for participants within a 250–350 km radius, as well as ground transport in the destination, such as transfers between the airport and hotel. The support also extends to other aspects of participation, including official shuttles, networking events, and online diary management systems.
Businesses in specific sectors are encouraged to apply. In the accommodation sector, eligible businesses include formally serviced accommodations, guest houses, self-catering options, backpackers, hostels, caravan and camping sites, game or nature lodges, and event venues, all of which must hold a valid star grading certificate from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. Travel and related service providers such as inbound tour operators, destination marketing companies, conference organisers, incentive travel organisers, and inbound travel agents are also invited to participate. In the hospitality sector, conference venues not attached to hotels and local attractions are eligible for support.
The DMASP provides a unique opportunity for South African tourism businesses to gain exposure, connect with industry peers, and expand their market presence. By reducing the financial burden associated with participation, the program allows enterprises to focus on building relationships, showcasing their offerings, and maximizing the impact of their involvement in key tourism events.
