Hack IITK is the flagship cybersecurity hackathon of C3iHub, conceptualized by IIT Kanpur professors, aimed at fostering indigenous cybersecurity innovation and entrepreneurship.
HACK IITK 2026 is a nationwide hackathon designed to engage innovative young minds and encourage creative technological solutions through competitive challenge-based participation. The event will be conducted online and includes Qualification Rounds followed by Multiple Challenge Rounds, culminating in the Grand Finale at IIT Kanpur. There are two tracks available for participants: the CTF Track and the Solution Track. Participation in the hackathon is completely free, and teams are required to ensure stable internet connectivity and necessary infrastructure throughout the competition.
The team formation process requires the first registrant to become the Team Leader, responsible for registering the team members, naming the team, representing the team, and ensuring adherence to all guidelines. Teams cannot be modified after the hackathon begins, and any team whose member exits during the event will be disqualified. Performance will be evaluated based on cumulative results across challenge stages, determining winners for the final round.
Eligibility to participate is open to college students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with the age limit for the Solution Track being up to 35 years.
