EU Funded United Nations Development Program “Stakeholder Engagement for Uranium Legacy Remediation in Central Asia – Phase II” Project announces a competition for the selection of business projects for financing/co-financing and implementation at the pilot areas of Yangiabad and Charkesar.
The main goal of the competition is to create jobs, providing employment for women/girls, vulnerable categories of the population, identifying and promoting the development of business initiatives in Charkesar (Namangan region) and Yangiabad (Tashkent region).
Funding Information
- The allocated amount for co-financing is up to 10 000 USD.
Eligibility Criteria
- Best business project
- Companies operating in the target areas of the project with the involvement of populations of the target communities are invited to participate. Preference in selection will be given to projects in the field of “green” entrepreneurship.
- Best social project
- Entities engaged in socially oriented activities aimed at achieving socially useful goals, improving the living conditions of people and (or) expanding their ability to independently provide their basic livelihood, as well as providing employment, support to the disabled, elderly citizens and persons in a difficult life situation.
- Important: Financial support for business projects selected within the framework of the competition is carried out through the purchase of equipment, office appliances, building materials, etc. according to the presented business plan. Grant support is not provided either in cash or in order to increase floating capital.
