The IITK FinTech Spark Program is now accepting grant applications to support unique opportunity for students to turn their innovative ideas into real-world solutions.
Designed to nurture the next generation of FinTech innovators, the program supports student teams in developing market-ready prototypes and early-stage ventures. By combining mentorship, financial support, and industry exposure, it bridges the gap between classroom learning and practical application.
Selected teams receive funding of ₹4 lakh, disbursed quarterly based on milestones, to help them build and refine their prototypes. Alongside financial support, students gain access to year-long masterclasses that expand their knowledge of the FinTech landscape. The program also provides fully sponsored industry immersion experiences, giving participants firsthand exposure to investors and real-world business environments.
Mentorship is a cornerstone of the program, with guidance from both IIT Kanpur faculty and industry experts to help teams navigate technical, strategic, and entrepreneurial challenges. Participants also have the opportunity to join the SIIC incubation center for long-term growth, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and additional funding opportunities through government schemes.
The program is open to undergraduate students who have completed their fourth semester, and it encourages participation across all departments. Teams must consist of two to three students, fostering collaboration and interdisciplinary innovation. The IITK FinTech Spark Program is an ideal platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain practical experience, develop viable solutions, and lay the foundation for a successful career in FinTech.
