StartUP City of Biñan Year 3 is an initiative by the Business Permit and Licensing Office to provide a dynamic platform for emerging startups to gain exposure, connect with potential investors, network with industry leaders, and showcase innovative products and services.
The program focuses on innovativeness and uniqueness, market potential and viability, scalability and growth potential, business model and revenue potential, sustainability and social impact, alignment with City goals, financial viability, and overall presentation and impact.
StartUP City of Biñan Year 3 targets individuals or teams where at least the majority reside in the City of Biñan. The program includes phases of business abstract submission, pre-screening, product presentation to the public, final pitching, and awarding.
Participants are required to submit a business abstract with details such as a brief business concept and description, market analysis and target audience, value proposition and unique selling points, business model and revenue potential, sustainability and impact on the local community, and financial viability.
Selected startups will showcase their products, services, or business models during an organized event, pitching to actual customers and a diverse panel of judges composed of industry experts from government agencies and private companies.
The winner receives a plaque in recognition of outstanding startup performance, ₱50,000 as starting capital, networking assistance with industry partners, and free processing of business permits and clearances for the first year.
Participants must comply with all legal and tax requirements related to their product or service, with processing costs borne by the winner.
