AlphaGamma is seeking applications to inspire, empower, and create a bias for action among a new generation of eco-entrepreneurs committed to creating a more sustainable future.
The Plus 1 Eco Odyssey is a reality TV show, created by World Tree Productions and promoted in partnership with AlphaGamma. The upcoming first season is all about water, the most precious resource.
It will spotlight underrepresented communities from around the globe who are disproportionately impacted by climate change.
The Plus 1 Eco Odyssey will showcase the creativity and talent of the largest, most diverse, and digitally connected generation on earth (Gen Z) and will inspire future entrepreneurs who are acutely aware of the impact that humans are having on the environment. They know that the time for action is right now.
Benefits
- If you are selected to participate in the Series, you will be filmed in your country of origin.
- The shooting of the show will take between January and April 2024. You will participate in several fun entrepreneurial and science-related challenges throughout the show.
- A panel of judges will score you in each of these challenges. And you will receive a ranking relative to the other contestants.
- The top 3 best performers will head to the Semi-Finals. It will be held in Arizona, the United States. There, the contestants will compete for a $50,000 USD prize and a 12-month mentorship to grow their eco-businesses.
Who should apply?
- The Plus 1 Eco Odyssey invites adventurous eco-entrepreneurs with unique water innovations that can help mitigate climate change.
- The show will feature contestants from around the globe – each episode will feature a different business or science challenge, and the panel of esteemed judges will score your performance.
Eligible Countries
- The applications are open to legal residents of the 26 countries, including but not limited to:
- United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and all U.S. territories. And any of the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada (except for the province of Quebec), Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eco-entrepreneurs, who are 18-28 years old, with an amazing water innovation or business that addresses climate change-related water problems.
