The Blue Catalyst Programme is seeking applications to support innovators in harnessing technology to overcome technical and operational barriers in blue carbon projects, providing mentorship, commercialization support, and access to a global network.
The programme focuses on addressing key challenges in blue carbon, including greenhouse gas (GHG) flux measurement and modelling, geospatial mapping and data integration, biodiversity monitoring, carbon stock modelling, improving sapling mortality, accessing remote or fragmented sites, and community engagement and safeguards.
Blue Catalyst has a strong track record, with participants having collectively raised $300M+ in funding through the innovation programme, demonstrating the programme’s impact in scaling blue carbon solutions.
Hosted in Singapore, Blue Catalyst connects project developers, researchers, and innovators to overcome complex implementation, monitoring, reporting, and verification barriers while scaling high-integrity blue carbon projects across Asia and beyond. Following the two-week in-person programme, participants receive six months of ongoing commercialization and technical support from Hatch Blue and WWF-Singapore to refine business models, leverage pilot opportunities, and prepare for investment.
Participants benefit from tailored mentorship, access to WWF-Singapore and Hatch Blue support, and exposure to project developers, offtakers, and investors during EcoSperity Week in Singapore. Core offerings include connection to the Blue Catalyst global network, on-site pilot implementation with selected WWF-Singapore project sites, support sessions on business strategy and fundraising, pitching opportunities at EcoSperity Week 2026, engagement with WWF-Singapore and Hatch Blue teams, and access to the climate tech investment network.
