Deadline Date: July 25, 2026
The Accelerate Africa program supports early-stage founders across the continent to build globally impactful businesses through expert-led guidance and structured support.
The program focuses on five critical areas including storytelling to craft a compelling mission, vision and impact narrative, people and operations to build and lead high-performing teams, go-to-market strategies to achieve the first million dollars in revenue, product development to create indispensable solutions for customers, and fundraising to secure investment from top global investors during demo day.
Accelerate Africa is designed for bold and visionary founders tackling some of the continent’s biggest challenges by building scalable businesses with global potential. Backed by over a decade of experience, the program leverages a strong network of advisors, co-investors, ecosystem partners, and industry experts who bring hands-on operational knowledge from working within Africa’s startup ecosystem. The initiative has supported numerous founding teams, many of whom have gone on to join global accelerator programs or build high-growth companies.
Participants benefit from an intensive and highly personalized experience that goes beyond traditional accelerator models. A select group of ten founders is chosen for each cohort, ensuring tailored one-on-one support from experienced advisors who have successfully built, invested in, and exited businesses in Africa. The program also offers workshops, coaching sessions, and office hours covering technical, legal, and financial aspects, while fostering a collaborative community among founders navigating similar challenges.
Unlike many accelerator programs, Accelerate Africa does not require equity or provide upfront funding upon admission. Instead, it offers the opportunity for optional investment at the end of the program through its dedicated fund. Additionally, Future Africa may invest between $250,000 and $500,000 at the pre-seed or seed stage, subject to standard due diligence and investment committee approval.
The program has played a role in supporting and advising several successful African startups, some of which have scaled into billion-dollar companies or achieved significant acquisitions by global corporations. By combining deep ecosystem expertise with a founder-first approach, Accelerate Africa continues to empower entrepreneurs to build transformative businesses from the continent.
