The Bremen Start-up Prize celebrates founders in Bremen who have shown outstanding achievements in growing young businesses and fostering an innovative start-up environment.
The prize focuses on promoting the positive development of the start-up climate in Bremen, acknowledging exceptional entrepreneurial commitment, raising public awareness of entrepreneurial role models, supporting start-up funding, providing regional and national visibility, and offering opportunities for professional growth and media exposure.
The Bremen Start-up Prize 2026 will be awarded in three categories: Classic Founding/Business Succession, Startup, and Social/Sustainability. The total prize money amounts to €15,000, with winners in each category receiving €4,000. Additionally, the three winning companies will have the chance to win the Audience Award at the Startup Summit, which carries an extra €3,000. Participants can also expect individual feedback during the selection process, extensive media coverage, professionally produced corporate films for the winning teams, and opportunities for regional visibility and participation in the German Founders’ Award.
Applications are open to entrepreneurs from all sectors, including trade, production, services, and crafts. Both team applications and applications from solo self-employed individuals are welcome, allowing a broad range of founders to participate and showcase their innovative business ideas.
