The Tally Startup Challenge in Delhi invites startups to propose innovative solutions under the theme “Capacity360 – Smarter Planning, Better Productivity,” aiming to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance growth for MSME manufacturers.
The Tally Startup Challenge focuses on the theme “Capacity360 – Smarter Planning, Better Productivity” and aims to support early-stage founders through cohort-based learning and one-on-one mentoring. The program provides opportunities for grant access, emphasizes measurable program impact, and encourages a strong founder mindset, problem clarity, and disruptive thinking.
The Tally Startup Challenge focuses on empowering MSME manufacturers in India to tackle critical capacity planning and optimization challenges. These challenges often arise from fluctuating market demand, supply chain disruptions, and resource constraints, including limited budgets and access to advanced tools. Efficient machine utilization, maintenance planning, and downtime reduction remain key pain points for manufacturers.
Current capacity planning solutions are often rigid, primarily designed for larger enterprises, and lack real-time adaptability necessary to respond to dynamic shifts in demand or unexpected disruptions. Without effective solutions, manufacturers face underutilized or overloaded machinery, unplanned downtime, inefficiencies in batch processing, and difficulty aligning maintenance with production schedules.
To address these challenges, the challenge encourages solutions that provide machine-level insights, dynamic machine scheduling, predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and data analytics. Solutions should be affordable, scalable, easy to implement, and tailored specifically for Indian MSMEs. Solutions must also accommodate market-specific challenges such as supply chain delays, demand volatility, and a mix of manual and semi-automated manufacturing setups.
The competition is open to startups registered with DPIIT, across ideation, validation, early traction, and scaling stages. Relevant industries include analytics, advertising, architecture interior design, AR/VR, automotive, art photography, animation, chemicals, and computer vision.
Applicants will undergo a two-stage process. Stage 1 requires submission of a concept note for the proposed solution. Shortlisted candidates move to Stage 2, developing and submitting the final product within 30 days. Evaluation focuses on solution innovation, cost, usability, adaptability, and market relevance for MSMEs.
Incentives include a ₹3 Lakh cash prize for the winner and ₹2 Lakh for the runner-up.
