Deadline: January 31, 2026
Thermo Fisher Scientific is launching the BioVerse Challenge 2025 to accelerate high-potential biotech startups in India.
The BioVerse Challenge 2025 is a nationwide initiative in India to fast-track biotech startups with high potential. The program provides access to advanced technology, skill-building opportunities, and expert mentorship aimed at accelerating innovation, scaling, and commercialization.
The challenge identifies two categories of winners. Trailblazers, a maximum of 20 startups, will receive access to state-of-the-art technologies across Thermo Fisher facilities in India, customized training programs, and expert mentorship, partnerships, and collaborations. Rising Stars, up to 50 startups, will gain access to expert mentorship, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities.
Eligible startups must be registered under DPIIT/Startup India and focus on sectors including biologics, industrial biotech, bioenergy, marine biotech, agri-food biotech, and medtech diagnostics. Early-stage and growth-stage startups with a clear business model and market-aligned technology are encouraged to participate. Collaboration with incubators, academic institutions, government, or industry is an added advantage.
The submission process requires startups to provide a detailed business case outlining the problem statement, innovative solution, market opportunity, business model, financial projections, traction validation, expected outcomes, societal and economic impact, and specific support required in technology, skill-building, and mentorship. Applications will be evaluated by Thermo Fisher Scientific along with a panel of industry, government, and academic experts forming the BioVerse Advisory Board.
