The 2026 Pet Care Innovation (PCI) Prize invites early-stage companies that are shaping the future of pet care with novel products or services offering meaningful solutions.
The focus of the PCI Prize is on prize, network, investors, events, and news, under the central theme of “The visibility you want. The growth you’ll value.” It offers transformative business lessons, valuable connections with Purina leadership, and the chance to win cash prizes.
The PCI Prize provides pet industry innovators, founders, and changemakers with the opportunity to refine their pitch, shine on stage, and connect to the PCI Network. All five winners will participate in an intensive, collaborative business bootcamp with Purina leadership and industry experts, where they will strengthen their business pitches and build relationships. The winners will then showcase their startups before industry influencers and investors for the Grand Prize, gaining significant exposure at Global Pet Expo. Additionally, winners will join the PCI Network, the leading community of innovative pet care startups and entrepreneurs.
The prize offers up to $50,000 and extensive visibility within the industry. Previous winners include AnimalBiome, Basepaws, Bond Pet Foods, GuardianVets, Mella Pet Care, Shameless Pets, SwiftPaws, and many others, demonstrating the strong track record of companies that have benefited from this program.
The application window for the 2026 PCI Prize closes on September 21, 2025. Early-stage companies with innovative pet care solutions are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
