Deadline Date: February 28, 2026
The Wilkes Climate Innovation Prize is requesting applications to accelerate innovative solutions with high potential to tackle critical challenges in the climate, energy, and economic sectors and bring them closer to practical implementation.
The prize focuses on solutions at stages of high uncertainty where conventional funding or adoption pathways are limited, and targeted support can influence outcomes. Eligible solutions may be technological, policy-driven, operational, financial, or hybrid, aiming to make measurable progress toward validation, pilot implementation, or readiness for scale.
The Wilkes Climate Innovation Prize awards one Grand Prize of $250,000 USD in non-dilutive funding to support the advancement of selected solutions. The prize is designed to help projects overcome early-stage challenges and accelerate their pathway to meaningful impact in the climate, energy, or economic ecosystem.
Organizations at all stages, including for-profits and nonprofits, anywhere in the world, are eligible to apply. This includes seed, pre-seed, venture-funded, publicly traded companies, and nonprofit organizations.
The prize encourages innovative approaches that can demonstrate tangible results and promote real-world application, bridging gaps where traditional support may not be available.
