Steward Leadership 25 (SL25) is an annual award that recognises 25 financially viable solutions demonstrating steward leadership excellence while creating meaningful environmental and social impact across Asia and the Pacific.
SL25 celebrates solutions that are financially viable or working towards financial viability, make significant positive environmental and/or social impact between January 2024 and January 2026, are implemented in Asia and the Pacific, are primarily owned, managed, and implemented by the applicant, and include previous SL25 winners submitting either new solutions or past winning solutions that demonstrate significant new progress. The judging criteria focus on financially self-sustaining solutions for the environment and society that exemplify steward leadership excellence, defined as the genuine desire and persistence to create a collective better future for stakeholders, society, future generations, and the environment.
Now in its fourth iteration, SL25 has already celebrated 100 impact stories and continues to spotlight solutions that prove businesses can do well by doing good. The award recognises organisations that combine financial sustainability with measurable environmental and social outcomes, reinforcing the importance of responsible and purpose-driven leadership in today’s economy.
Selected solutions benefit from significant showcase opportunities, including organic and paid media exposure to promote their work. Awardees also gain access to content opportunities through articles, videos, and podcasts, as well as speaking engagements and case study features for executive education platforms. These avenues amplify the visibility and credibility of recognised solutions across diverse audiences.
In addition to recognition, awardees are celebrated at the SL25 award ceremony and receive exclusive invitations to flagship events such as the Steward Leadership Summit, a high-profile gathering attended by leaders from business, government, and civil society across the Asia-Pacific region. These events provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning among influential stakeholders.
Winners also join the SL25 ecosystem, gaining access to an executive network through dedicated platforms. This network fosters connections, encourages partnerships, and strengthens a community committed to steward leadership and sustainable impact.
