The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is the only global program of its kind celebrating, supporting, and connecting founders, transformational CEOs, and multigenerational leaders. With a 40-year legacy, the program recognizes entrepreneurial excellence worldwide.
The Ireland edition provides national and international recognition for successful finalists and Alumni, while offering invaluable networking and business opportunities within a growing community of over 680 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Ireland Alumni. Now in its 29th year, the program operates across all 32 counties on the island of Ireland. Participants connect with peers, access insights to navigate growth, and raise the profile of their companies and teams. Each year, an overall winner is selected to represent Ireland in the global EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ competition.
ominees should be primarily responsible for their company’s success, typically as founder or CEO, and have held their leadership role for at least two years.Nominees must own a minimum of 5% of the company (publicly listed companies assessed case-by-case). Companies must have been trading for a minimum of two years, with exceptions for early-stage life sciences, technology, or R&D-intensive companies. Turnover must exceed €1 million or £1 million. Co-nominees are eligible if they share leadership responsibilities. Past applicants not shortlisted are encouraged to reapply.
