Deadline Date: January 23, 2026
The euRobotics Technology Transfer Award, provided by euRobotics, celebrates successful collaborations between research and industry in Europe that turn innovative robotic research into real-world products and services.
The focus areas of the opportunity are recognizing outstanding examples of technology transfer, awarding trophies to winners and certificates to the top three contenders, providing finalists with significant exposure and networking opportunities, addressing challenges such as an aging population, labor shortage, climate change, and the need for sustainable solutions through robotics, showcasing robotic assistants enhancing elderly care, automated systems optimizing resource management, and innovative technologies revolutionizing industries for a greener future, increasing visibility through presentations, the award ceremony at #ERF2026 in Stavanger, and a Europe-wide press release, enhancing reputation by serving as a prestigious label attracting new partners from academia and industry, and offering networking opportunities to connect with key players in the robotics field.
The award encourages submissions that showcase the value of technology transfer in robotics. Applications should be a maximum of six pages and include an executive summary of the tech transfer project, applicant and organization information, motivation and R&D goals, state of the art and project approach, research and development results, innovation and commercial impact achieved, research-industry cooperation benefits, and intellectual property and commercialization strategies.
Eligibility requires that the technology transfer has taken place in Europe and resulted in robotics products, applications, or services. Scientific results must originate from research and technology organizations, universities, or polytechnic universities and not from in-house industry research. Up to three representatives from all partners involved in a successful technology transfer may apply, and the technology transfer should demonstrate early commercialization signs.
This award provides a platform for European robotics innovators to gain recognition, strengthen industry-academia partnerships, and showcase the societal and commercial impact of their research.
