The ESCWA has launched its fifth edition of the ESCWA Digital Arabic Content Award for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the World Summit Awards to honor leading digital Arabic content initiatives that support progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
The aim of this Award is to recognize the best digital Arabic content products in the Arab region that focus on sustainable development, highlight the benefits of digital technologies and their platforms for advancing sustainable development and accelerating progress on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, contribute to bridging digital content gaps, and support the development of the information and knowledge society in the Arab region.
The Award is open to institutions and young entrepreneurs from Arab countries that have created digital Arabic content applications or projects with a clear impact on society. It targets entities and individuals whose work supports the achievement of the SDGs through innovative digital solutions.
Institutions eligible to apply include public and private sector entities, academic institutions, civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders with existing products that advance sustainable development goals.
The Award also features a Young Entrepreneurs category dedicated to start-ups, teams of young people, and individuals.
