The European Union (EU) is proud to present the DesignEuropa Awards 2026, celebrating the finest European design talent and innovation.
The DesignEuropa Awards recognise creativity in design, as well as influential figures in the field. They are a non-commercial competition and are open to any person, entity or institution of any nationality that owns a valid EU design. Applications from entrepreneurs, small companies, medium and large enterprises are welcome, and young designers can both apply and be nominated. Nominations are also open for individuals with long-standing careers in design. Each category highlights innovation, market impact and contributions to the design community.
In 2026, the DesignEuropa Awards mark their 10th anniversary, continuing their mission to recognise and honour outstanding design across Europe. The programme showcases design excellence and encourages global participation by allowing applicants from any nationality who hold a valid EU design.
The initiative highlights the importance of design-driven innovation and acknowledges both rising talent and accomplished leaders in the design field. The awards provide a platform to elevate exceptional work while promoting strong design culture across diverse sectors and industries.
The DesignEuropa Awards feature several distinct categories that celebrate excellence in design. The Entrepreneurs and Small Companies Category recognises exceptional designs from entrepreneurs, small companies, and newly established enterprises. The Industry Category is dedicated to remarkable designs created by large and medium-sized businesses. The Lifetime Achievement Category is reserved for designers with a significant body of work who have had a considerable impact on the field of design throughout their career. The Next Generation Design Category highlights the remarkable talent of young designers up to 29 years old.
The competition encourages engagement from a wide range of participants, reinforcing the value of creativity and its potential to shape the future of European and global markets through purposeful design excellence.
