The United Nations Development Programme is inviting applications to support service sector SMEs in Georgia to develop innovative solutions that strengthen their competitiveness in international markets.
The initiative focuses on promoting innovation in export-oriented services, accelerating access to European Union markets, encouraging private sector-driven leadership in export solutions, facilitating knowledge transfer through practical insights and transferable models, and strengthening Georgia’s service industry export ecosystem by supporting scalable and innovation-driven initiatives.
The programme supports service sector SMEs in designing, piloting, or scaling innovative or underutilized methods, services, business models, digital tools, and operational improvements that can enhance their capacity to compete in international markets. Through these initiatives, the programme aims to generate positive impacts for people in Georgia while enabling businesses to expand their presence in global markets.
Another key objective of the call is to help service sector SMEs overcome major export barriers, particularly those related to entering and expanding in European Union markets. The initiative also seeks to mobilize the expertise and efficiency of SMEs in developing practical and scalable solutions that address systemic export challenges within the service sector.
The call also aims to generate practical insights and transferable models from funded projects so that other service sector SMEs can benefit from shared knowledge and experiences in their export journeys. By supporting initiatives with high replication and scaling potential, the programme contributes to building a more competitive, innovation-driven and export-oriented service sector in Georgia.
Selected applicants may receive co-financing of GEL 50,000 per approved application.
