The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Pakistan invites innovative entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs to participate in the Green Office Solutions Challenge focused on developing eco-friendly, recyclable, and scalable office-use products.
The focus areas of this competition include eco-friendly products made from sustainable, renewable, biodegradable, compostable, or low-impact materials; recyclable and upcycled products using recycled paper, metals, plastics, or textiles supporting a circular economy; plastic reimagined using recycled or repurposed plastics; scalable products suitable for bulk production with consistent quality and sustainability; functional products meeting practical needs in modern offices; durable, cost-effective, innovative designs with minimal packaging; products produced locally with low energy manufacturing that are lightweight, portable, customizable for branding, inclusive, accessible, and promote environmental sustainability and circular economy principles.
This challenge seeks eco-friendly office innovations such as recycled stationery, upcycled desk organizers, reusable drinkware, eco-friendly tech accessories, biodegradable tote bags and packaging, seed paper promotional items, and sustainable lifestyle office gifts. The competition encourages local production that supports local industry and reduces emissions. Eligibility criteria focus on early and mid-stage startups or SMEs legally registered or eligible for registration in Pakistan, demonstrating capacity to design, prototype, or supply sustainable products with commitment to ethical business practices. Applications from youth, women, persons with disabilities, and underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged.
Selected winners will gain access to opportunities for business growth, including becoming registered suppliers with UNGM and UNOPS Pakistan, capacity-building on procurement processes, product showcasing to high-profile stakeholders, and joining an inclusive supply chain committed to sustainability.
Interested applicants must submit their applications through the designated Google Form before the deadline on Sunday, 14 September 2025, as late submissions will not be considered.
