Youth4Climate’s Call for Solutions 2026 invites young people and youth-led organizations to develop and implement innovative climate action projects.
This year, applicants can focus on the following thematic areas: Sustainable Energy, Food & Agriculture, Climate, Peace and Security, Oceans and Blue Economy, Sustainable Fashion and Textiles, and Architecture for Adaptation.
Since 2023, Youth4Climate has successfully allocated USD 4 million in direct funding to 150 youth-led climate projects across 59 countries through its first three rounds of the Call for Solutions. In 2026, the fourth round continues this mission, offering funding opportunities to young people aged 18 to 29 and youth-led entities, with applicants able to request up to USD 30,000 in seed funding. Projects funded under this initiative must be implemented within a maximum period of 24 months.
Eligible applicants include individuals or legally registered, youth-led civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, or companies. Organizations must provide registration documents and banking details corresponding to the organization’s name. Leadership within the organization should predominantly consist of young people aged 18-29. Additionally, at least one team member should have a minimum of three years of experience in project management, community leadership, or customary governance roles. The project lead, who submits the application on behalf of the organization, must meet the age eligibility and will act as the primary contact with UNDP regarding project implementation and financial disbursement.
The Youth4Climate Call for Solutions not only funds projects but also provides learning opportunities and support to further develop youth-led ideas, helping to scale climate solutions and strengthen the capacity of young innovators around the world.
