FRANCE 2023, a competition that offers a unique opportunity to French startups aiming to internationalize and scale up their business in Europe.
EIT Manufacturing organizes the EIT Manufacturing Competition 2023 for France under the brand name “BoostUp! – FRANCE 2023”, a startup competition for spin-offs, startups and scaleups in the manufacturing sector with a geographical focus in France.
Topic Description
Submissions need to fit one of the following EIT Manufacturing focus areas:
- Low Environmental Footprint Systems & Circular Economy for Green Manufacturing
- Flexible Production Systems for Competitive Manufacturing
- Digital & Collaborative Solutions for Innovative Manufacturing Ecosystems
- Human-machine co-working for socially sustainable manufacturing
Submissions need to fit a least one of the following markets segments:
- Aerospace
- Automated Guided Vehicle Systems (AGVs)
- Appliances
- Automotive
- Consumer Goods
- Design
- Electronics
- Energy and Utilities
- Food
- Health
- Homeware
- Industrial Machinery
- Logistics and Transport

Prize Information
- The total maximum EIT funding allocated to this call is up to 15,000 EUR.
- Finalist startups, shortlisted from the 1st phase, will receive a “growth package” service support of two months delivered by the Business Creation team of EIT Manufacturing.
- The 10 finalists will be invited to pitch in front of a jury composed by independent experts during the in-person event at Station F (Paris, France) on December 8 th, 2023; organized by EIT Manufacturing West. The top 3 winning startups, selected on the 2nd phase, will receive prize awards as follows:
- First prize: 7,000 EUR
- Second prize: 5,000 EUR
- Third prize: 3,000 EUR
Who can apply?
The applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be an entrepreneurial team, with a minimum of two members.
- Team members must be residents in France.
- Company must be incorporated in France.
- Each team or team member can submit only one application.
- Applicants must prove revenue traction (existing reference customers).
- The business development plans (incl. financial aspects) shall be disclosed.
- The application package should include a completed application form, pitch deck, and logo.
- The applying startup is NOT a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing, or a Linked Third Party of a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing.
