The BCI Awards recognize and honor business continuity and resilience professionals and organizations worldwide, serving as the most prestigious event in the business continuity calendar.
The awards cover 13 categories including Collaboration in Resilience, Continuity and Resilience Consultant, Continuity and Resilience Innovation, Continuity and Resilience Newcomer, Continuity and Resilience Professional (Private Sector), Continuity and Resilience Professional (Public Sector), Continuity and Resilience Provider (Service/Product), Continuity and Resilience Team, Continuity and Resilience Volunteer, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Ally / Champion of the Year, Most Original Exercise Programme, Most Effective Recovery, and Most Effective Supply Chain Resilience Strategy.
The BCI has revised all award categories to align with the KPI Question methodology and the BCI Competency framework, enabling better recognition of members’ achievements and celebrating excellence in the resilience community according to established industry standards and best practices. The awards application process is designed to be inclusive, transparent, and easy to follow, providing clear guidance on eligibility, criteria, evidence requirements, and the judging process.
Applicants must submit their evidence in English and within the timeframe specified, covering activities from 1 January 2025 to 23 February 2026 for the 2026 awards. Evidence must be new and not previously submitted, with word limits enforced for both criteria and testimonials to ensure fairness. Testimonials must include referees’ details for verification, and all supporting information should be included directly in the application without hyperlinks.
Late submissions and attempts to contact judges are not allowed. Certain restrictions also apply to BCI Judges, Board members, and Hall of Fame inductees to maintain impartiality. Individual applicants must be active in the region they are entering, while organizations must demonstrate regional presence through operations or customers. Multiple submissions across categories or regions are allowed only if eligibility criteria are met, with one entry per category per year per organization or individual.
Both individuals and organizations can submit entries themselves or be nominated by third parties, provided they meet the category requirements and have no outstanding debts to the BCI outside agreed terms. The awards aim to showcase exceptional contributions to resilience, innovation, collaboration, and effective recovery practices, celebrating leaders and teams who advance the business continuity profession globally.
