Apply Now: D4D Hub Creative Economy Challenge and Award 2025 (West Africa)

Deadline: September 03, 2025

The D4D Hub Creative Economy Challenge & Award is a new initiative launched as part of Moonshot by TechCabal 2025, in collaboration with the Digital for Development (D4D) Hub, designed to spotlight bold and innovative startups and organisations operating at the intersection of creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship in West Africa and beyond.

The focus is on tech-enabled and digitally developed project/product offerings with demonstrable traction, team capacity, and long-term creative and economic impact.

The Creative Economy Challenge & Award offers significant benefits to participants such as an invitation by D4D Hub to travel and stay in Lagos to attend Moonshot and pitch their project on 15th October. Participants gain access to win from a $30,000 prize money pool allocated to the 3 finalists with amounts of $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000 respectively. There is also investor exposure facilitated by D4D Hub and TechCabal as well as visibility at Moonshot 2025 among tech leaders, donors, and policymakers who are shaping Africa’s creative digital future.

To participate, startups and organisations must be West African entities that are already developing a project or initiative with a focus on tech-enabled and digitally developed solutions showing proven traction and potential for long-term impact. Applicants are required to fill out an application form with accurate organizational and project details and upload relevant files such as pitch decks. The application deadline is September 3rd, 2025, at 5 pm Central European Time.

This initiative not only offers financial rewards but also a platform for creative-tech ventures to gain visibility, connect with investors, and build partnerships that can accelerate their growth and sustainability in the creative economy. The opportunity invites eligible startups and organisations to leverage this platform and showcase their innovations on an international stage.
