Deadline Date: March 15, 2026
The Agritech Innovation Challenge 2026 offers to identify, promote, and support innovative digital solutions that sustainably transform the agricultural and livestock sectors in Cameroon.
The focus areas include identifying startups with advanced technical, organizational, and commercial development, supporting digital startups that offer innovative services tailored to the needs of the agricultural and pastoral sector, fostering market-ready business plans, and co-financing high-potential innovative projects that may involve product, service, process, or organizational innovations. The challenge emphasizes creation of new activities or startups and encourages participation across Cameroon’s four socio-cultural regions.
The competition is structured into four regional Tech and Business events corresponding to the Northern, Sawa, Grassfield, and Fang-Beti cultural areas, ensuring healthy competition and wide participation. Eligible candidates must be Cameroonian startups with promoters aged 18 to 40, offering a functional and innovative digital solution addressing agriculture, livestock, fishing, agropastoral fintech, or climate change adaptation. Participants must express the need for government support, complete the registration form with the project document, and be able to mobilize 35 percent of their business plan investment.
Evaluation of applications is based on eligibility criteria, project relevance, and the quality of the business plan. Access to the Agritech Innovation Challenge is free, and the program provides support for startups to advance toward market readiness while promoting innovation with high impact potential in the agricultural and pastoral sectors.
