Wafi Tameer proudly announces the 12th Tameer Awards 2025, an opportunity for young innovators across Pakistan to showcase their ideas and transform them into impactful businesses.
Clean Energy Solutions category invites energy innovators that are providing disruptive solutions within the clean energy space. Energy Innovations may include but are not limited to: Access to Energy; Clean energy; Off-grid solutions; Energy distribution and Energy efficiency.
The Bright Ideas Award category is designed to recognize aspiring entrepreneurs that display great potential for future growth by having a compelling/winning idea. This early stage innovation can come from any of the Tameer Award categories but must be at a prototype stage.
Circular Economy category recognizes enterprises that help shift the world to circular economy future to deliver positive environmental change. Innovations may include but are not limited to: Sustainable packaging; Solutions to eliminate or reduce waste; Products & services to improve quality.
Empowering Women category celebrates enterprises aimed at creating opportunities to advance gender equality and to enhance the socio-economic status of women in our society. We are looking for an enterprise focused on empowering women, enabling them to improve their standard of living.
Technology Innovation category recognizes enterprises using innovative tech solutions to change the way things have been done traditionally. It may include but is not limited to E-commerce or Smart solutions to make lives smarter, easier quicker in the fields of Medicine, Education & other Business sectors.
Transportation and Mobility category recognizes enterprise providing disruptive solutions around low-carbon transport solutions and transport sharing model. Designed to provide solutions to address direct and indirect environmental and socio-economic impacts of the traditional transportation sector.
Applicants must be Pakistani nationals between 20-35 years old with a start-up or a prototype ready idea around one of the core thematic areas. This year, six award categories are open to inspire and support young entrepreneurs to select the one that aligns with their vision and start their journey with Tameer. All finalists will receive cash prizes for winners and runners-up, international expert coaching, business networking with industry leaders, media spotlight, and travel & accommodation for finalists outside Karachi. The application process starts on August 25 and closes on September 28, with finalists announced on October 7. Pitch preparation runs from October 8 to 19, followed by the final pitch and awards night on October 28, with details to be announced later.
