Grants for Multi-thematic Festivals/Actions 2026 (Greece)

Deadline Date: January 20, 2026

The Ministry of Culture in Greece has opened a call for proposals under the programme for Multi-Thematic Festivals / Activites for 2026, offering a fresh cultural funding opportunity for non‑profit organisations.

Through this call, the scheme offers grants across four funding tiers — €10,000; €15,000; €20,000; and €30,000 — depending on the scope and quality of the proposed festival or action, the variety and number of activities, the number of participants, and the overall duration and ambition of the event. Eligible proposals include multi‑thematic festivals or actions that combine different art forms — for example theatre and music, visual arts and dance, or other creative combinations intended to foster cultural richness and diversity.

Eligible applicants are non‑profit legal entities — public or private — with cultural or charitable purposes, provided they were established by 30 June 2025. In cases where more than one organisation collaborates, the proposal must be submitted by the main implementing entity; if the collaboration includes a foreign partner, the submission must proceed through a Greek organisation.

To apply, organisations must be registered in the official Cultural Actors’ Registry and provide certain documentation: for established organisations, annual artistic and financial reports for recent years; for newly created ones, a 2026 operational plan; and for any entity that previously received public grants, detailed reports for prior funded actions. All documents must be signed and stamped by the organisation’s legal representative.

The criteria for evaluation combine artistic merit, coherence of the proposal, realistic budgeting and planning, engagement of professional artists, prior cultural activity of the applying organisation, and — importantly — the potential impact in promoting cultural diversity, regional inclusion, social cohesion, and access for wider audiences. Proposals that plan activities in non‑urban, rural, remote or island regions — especially if they aim to involve new audiences or socially vulnerable groups — appear particularly encouraged.

This call represents a significant moment for cultural groups, artists and communities across Greece. It provides an institutional opportunity to create vibrant, inclusive, multi‑disciplinary cultural events that celebrate creativity, diversity and community, strengthening both the contemporary cultural scene and social ties in a way that extends beyond local boundaries.
