The Digitalisation Funding supports small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from all business sectors in Vienna that have been operating for at least one year in developing and implementing their digital transformation projects.
The focus is on the development and implementation of new digital solutions, software, and licences, external consulting costs, training of employees by external service providers on the new digital tools, costs related to the development and implementation of digital solutions, including training and qualification measures, as well as the purchase of hardware, software, and licences.
The Digitalisation Funding provides up to 50,000 euros per project with a funding rate of 50 percent, while the minimum project value must be 10,000 euros. Projects can have a maximum duration of two years, and up to 50 percent of the approved funding amount can be paid upfront. Applications undergo a competitive process in which an independent jury evaluates and selects the most promising proposals on a quarterly basis. Only SMEs that have been active in Vienna for at least one year at the time of application are eligible.
To apply, companies are required to submit a completed online funding application along with an application confirmation, de-minimis declaration, latest financial statements or an income statement, and cost estimates for project items exceeding 10,000 euros.
Applicants can benefit from consultations and networking opportunities offered by the Vienna Business Agency, which provides guidance from idea development to project structuring and submission. After evaluation, the outcome of the application is communicated directly to the enterprises.
