Submissions open for Breva Thrive Grant Program to support an entrepreneur who is having a positive impact in an underrepresented community.
Purpose
- The grant is designed to support activities such as scaling operations, purchasing equipment, funding new hires, enhancing marketing efforts, or other initiatives that drive growth and community impact.
Funding Information
- Winners will receive a $5,000 grant to boost their business growth and enhance their community impact.
Fund Usage
- Grant funds must be used explicitly for business development or community-impact projects.
- Any misuse of funds, such as personal expenses, may result in revocation of the grant, mandatory repayment, and potential legal action.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant’s business must demonstrate a measurable and positive impact on its community. This can include, but is not limited to:
- Creating new jobs or sustaining existing employment.
- Developing innovative products, services, or solutions.
- Improving accessibility to essential products, services, or resources.
- Business Longevity:
- Businesses that have been operational for at least one (1) year will be prioritized. Businesses less than one year old are still eligible but must provide evidence of significant community impact or potential.
- Revenue Requirements:
- Businesses must demonstrate revenue generation. Preference will be given to businesses with a minimum annual revenue of $35,000; however, applications with lower revenue will still be considered based on other merits.
- Focus on Underrepresented Communities:
- Priority will be given to businesses that directly benefit or operate within underrepresented or underserved communities, including women- and minority-owned businesses.
- Geographic and Legal Requirements:
- The business must be legally registered under United States law and conduct its operations primarily within the United States. Businesses operating outside these parameters are not eligible.
Selection Criteria
- Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Community Impact:
- The measurable and projected impact of the business on its community.
- Business Viability:
- A demonstrated track record of credibility, sustainability, and growth.
- Alignment with Grant Mission:
- How well the business aligns with Breva’s mission to empower underrepresented communities and foster inclusive economic growth.
