The focus areas of the programme include medical devices, artificial intelligence and machine learning, natural products and Ayurveda, Internet of Things (IoT), digital health, and the Indian community.
The 2nd Incubation & Ignition Call is supported under the iTBI Programme of the DST–NIDHI Scheme, Government of India. The programme is designed to help clinicians, researchers, faculty members, students, innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs accelerate their innovation journey in healthcare and medical technology.
Selected applicants can receive grant funding ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh. The programme also offers structured incubation and funding support, expert mentorship, access to AIIMS Patna’s clinical ecosystem, networking and industry linkages, and support for technology translation and commercialization.
Participants will also benefit from mentorship and expert guidance, access to laboratories, facilities and infrastructure, networking opportunities with investors and industry, need-based support for prototyping, validation and trials subject to ethical committee clearance, and guidance related to regulatory, ethical and other compliances.
Applications are open to aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators, early-stage startups, and medical professionals, faculty members, residents, and students.
