Deadline: Ongoing
The funding focuses on supporting business costs that applicants would otherwise be unable to afford, helping businesses make a transformational change, supporting businesses to take a significant step forward in their development, providing business grants of up to £2,000 for eligible businesses, and supporting sole traders, limited companies and CICs limited by shares that have been trading for less than two years.
The SWEF Enterprise Fund awards business grants of up to £2,000 to eligible young people who are running a new business. The grant is designed to help cover business costs that can support the growth and development of the business.
Applicants are not required to submit a business plan. They are simply asked to complete the application form as fully as possible.
A reference must be provided in support of the application. The referee should not be a spouse, parent or guardian and should be someone who knows the applicant’s business and skills, such as a tutor, previous employer, support worker or mentor.
Business grants are available for sole traders, limited companies and CICs limited by shares that have been trading for less than two years. Applicants may apply for up to £2,000, and the grant must be spent within one month of receiving the funds.
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age and currently live in the Cheshire or Warrington areas. They must be facing financial challenges that are preventing them from developing their business.
Applicants must be launching or running a new business that has been trading for under two years. They must either be the majority shareholder of the business or ensure that all shareholders are between 18 and 30 years of age. They must also have a business bank account or be in the process of setting one up, as grants are only paid into business bank accounts.
