RFPs: Economic Growth Community Grant Program (Australia)

Deadline: Ongoing

The City of Salisbury is inviting applications for the Shopfront Improvement Grant and the Activation Grant to support businesses in enhancing the appearance of commercial spaces and delivering engaging community activations across Salisbury.

The Shopfront Improvement Grant aims to improve the street presentation and appearance of eligible shopfronts by providing uplift, visual appeal and accessibility to the city centre, encouraging spending through the revitalisation of main streets, and contributing to the overall vibrancy and continued activation of the area.

The Activation Grant supports live music or DJ performances, pop-up exhibitions, creative workshops or sessions, events, and markets that create dynamic experiences and celebrate the diverse offerings and culture of Salisbury.

Under the Shopfront Improvement Grant, eligible businesses can receive up to AUD 5,000 (including GST). Applicants are required to contribute 10% of the total approved grant amount, and funded projects must be completed within six months of approval. Applications will be accepted until the available budget is exhausted or until 30 September.

The Shopfront Improvement Grant is open to business owners or tenants located within the eligible area of the Salisbury City Centre. Applicants must have no outstanding Council debt, must have complied with any previous grant requirements, and must provide landlord approval where applicable, quotes for the proposed work, and any required planning or building approvals.

The Activation Grant provides up to AUD 2,000 (including GST) to support activations that encourage economic activity and create vibrant experiences across the City of Salisbury. Applications for this grant are open throughout the year.

The Activation Grant is available to local entrepreneurs, not-for-profit organisations, businesses, and business associations based in the City of Salisbury. Sporting clubs and schools are not eligible to apply. Applications for the Shopfront Improvement Grant close on 30 September or earlier if the allocated budget is exhausted. Applications for the Activation Grant are open throughout the year.

For more information, visit City of Salisbury.
