The focus areas of the festival include AI-enabled social impact solutions, innovation in education and teaching-learning practices, student-led AI innovation, academic institution participation in AI development, and support for emerging and scaling AI startups. The program also emphasizes inclusive growth, equitable access to technology, and real-world application of AI for societal benefit.
The India AI Impact Festival 2026 brings together students, educators, academic institutions, and startups to showcase artificial intelligence innovations and best practices. It is designed to highlight the growing role of AI in solving real-world challenges while strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem.
The festival is organized through a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), INDIAai Mission, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and Intel India.
The competition includes four categories: AI Impact Creators for students developing AI-based social impact solutions, AI Impact Shapers for educators implementing innovative AI teaching practices, AI Impact Nurturers for academic institutions applying AI in learning environments, and AI Impact Catalysts for startups building scalable AI solutions with real-world impact.
